Your images never leave your device

Every tool on ImageHelperKit, including the Image Measurement Tool, runs in your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Upload a photo, drag a file in, paste an image, or capture one with your camera — however it gets in, it's processed right there on your device. It doesn't get sent to us, and we don't store a copy anywhere. There's simply no way for us to see what you're measuring.

Camera access

Tap "Use camera" and your browser will ask for permission to access it. That permission exists for one reason: letting you capture a photo directly inside the tool. Once captured, it's treated exactly like a file you uploaded — processed locally, nothing sent anywhere. We don't touch your camera outside of that permission prompt, and we don't record or transmit any video stream.

Local storage

Handing your photo off between pages — say, from the upload screen to the editor — requires storing it somewhere briefly. We use your browser's IndexedDB for that, which lives on your device, not on a server. It clears out once you load a new image or clear your browser data.

Cookies and analytics

We may run privacy-respecting analytics to see aggregate traffic patterns, like which pages get visited, and down the line we may add third-party advertising such as Google AdSense. Those services can use cookies to serve relevant ads and measure how they perform. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and Google has its own opt-out controls for personalized ads atadssettings.google.com.

Third-party services

The site itself is hosted by a third-party infrastructure provider. Like any host, it logs standard technical data — IP address, request timing, that sort of thing — for security and performance. None of that touches your images, because your images never reach us in the first place.

Children's privacy

ImageHelperKit isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone that age.

Changes to this policy

This policy will change as the site does. Whenever something material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
