Your images never leave your device
Every tool on ImageHelperKit, including the Image Colour Inverter, runs in your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Upload a photo, drag a file in, paste an image, or capture one with your camera — however it gets in, it's processed right there on your device. It doesn't get sent to us, and we don't store a copy anywhere. There's simply no way for us to see the image you're working with.
Camera access
Tap "Use camera" and your browser will ask for permission to access it. That permission exists for one reason: letting you capture a photo directly inside the tool. Once captured, it's treated exactly like a file you uploaded — processed locally, nothing sent anywhere. We don't touch your camera outside of that permission prompt, and we don't record or transmit any video stream.
Local storage
Handing your photo off between pages — say, from the upload screen to the editor — requires storing it somewhere briefly. We use your browser's IndexedDB for that, which lives on your device, not on a server. The stored image is replaced when you choose another image and deleted when you use "Change image." You can also remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Contact messages
If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide so we can respond. The form is processed by Web3Forms, which forwards the submission to our email inbox. Web3Forms says it does not store form submissions, although its server logs may temporarily contain personal information. You can read itsprivacy and GDPR information. Messages may remain in our email records after we respond. You can ask us to delete your correspondence through the contact page.
Cookies, analytics, and local preferences
We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or optional cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage to remember whether you selected the light or dark theme. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by law.
Fonts
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts' servers. Loading a font makes a request to Google, which can see the requesting IP address and browser details for that request, the same as loading any other resource from a third-party server. We don't control what Google does with that request; see Google's privacy policyfor details.
Hosting
ImageHelperKit is hosted on third-party infrastructure. The hosting provider may process standard request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, and request timing, to deliver and secure the site. This does not include the images you open in the measurement tool because those images remain in your browser.
Children's privacy
ImageHelperKit isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone that age.
Changes to this policy
This policy will change as the site does. Whenever something material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
